如果单从五年级来讲的话,一般用在there be句型里.其实我举个例子你就明白了,很好懂的.There is a book and two pens on the desk.这句话先说的一本书,谓语动词就用单数的形式.反过来,There are two pens and a book on the desk.这句话先说的是两支钢笔,谓语动词就要用复数的形式了.明白什么是谓语动词吧,就是there be 里的那个be.就这样.
